BioFitness Systems, Inc. is a fitness technology
company serving the physical fitness, conditioning, and wellness segments of
America’s healthcare industry.
The Company develops and markets proprietary and
innovative technology, products, and services used by consumers and providers of personal exercise, sports
conditioning, physical rehabilitation, exercise prescription, and other
fitness/wellness programs as a path to peak performance, health, and longevity.
Among other benefits, the Company’s products and services enable exercisers to gain greater fitness benefits from their workouts, with significantly added value from their exercise equipment, and with the BioFitness–exclusive capability to calculate in advance the precise level and timing of fitness gains.
The Company’s mission is to change the way America gets fit. It will do this by delivering to fitness enthusiasts, sports participants, rehabilitation patients, fitness and coaching providers, and health care providers the highest scientific standard of exercise prescription to motivate the user and optimize his or her athletic performance, wellness, physical appearance, and fitness capacity.
The Company’s flagship product is The Fitness Buddy®, a computer software program incorporating a proprietary analytical “engine” created by the company’s founder, a world weightlifting champion and fitness visionary. The Fitness Buddy® empowers users with the capability to create personal workout plans that optimize a user’s exercise time and equipment, and deliver predetermined gains safely on a predictable timetable.
BioFitness Systems also is in the process of expanding its online health club, launching a new family of workout planning software and related nutrition products, and introducing new exciting and innovative services for fitness consumers and providers. The Management Team
Steven R Zeigman is founder,
Chairman, Chief Fitness Evangelist, and a Director of the Company. In addition to his role as spokesperson for
the Company, Mr. Zeigman is the Company’s Product Visionary, with
responsibility for defining new products and opportunities for subsequent
development.
Mr. Zeigman is the visionary behind BioFitness Systems and the architect of the Company’s proprietary analytical engine (calculator) for fitness planning. He broke his first national Weightlifting record at eighteen and is still setting them after 40
Comptroller &
Corporate Treasurer:
Lewis Currier III is Comptroller & Corporate Treasurer. Mr. Currier has served the Company in this capacity since it was founded in 1993. He holds a degree in tax law and was formerly an IRS Major Accounts Investigator.

Sr. Vice
President, Software Engineering:
John Cortenbach has been a software
developer for the last 21 years. He started his career writing life insurance
sales programs in Basic in the early 80's. He then accepted a software
development position with an insurance company that processed premium and claims
for the entire United States, which he held for 15 years. Some of the clients he
worked with were CNA. American Bankers, Mutual of Omaha, Guarantee Trust Life,
and Alliance.
In addition to his full-time position for the insurance company, he also
free-lanced for Mobil Oil and ARCO, where he developed, wrote, and maintaned a
Fugitive Emissions Program used in the Tri-County area of Southern California to
track and monitor emissions at various refiniries and oil rigs. This program was
used by the oil companies to stay in compliance with the strict air pollution
guidelines present in the state of California.
Mr Cortenbach is currently working on a Casino Management System for the Indian
gaming community. This management system tracks the play in the casino and
performs all of the accounting functions necessary for regulatory compliance. It
also performs marketing functions (player tracking and demographics).

Vice President of
Worldwide Sales:
Raymond R. Cortenbach is our Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development. Mr. Cortenbach brings more than 22 years of professional sales experience in the hi-tech industry, starting at the very beginning of the pc revolution in late ’79.
Mr. Cortenbach has worked for such companies as Ashton-Tate, distributing its flagship product – dBASE II, III and IV – to distributors and resellers throughout the US and Canada. Mr. Cortenbach got “hooked” on startup life from his experience at Ashton-Tate. Since then, he has worked for a number of Silicon Valley startups, including Precision Software, which was acquired by Software Publishing Corp; Apptivity Corp, which was acquired by Progress Software; Strategic Mapping, which was acquired by Donnelly Marketing, CasioSoft and InnoGear

Vice President
Web Operations:
Roy B. Brubaker, Jr is the
Company’s Vice President, Web Operations, responsible for the Website’s
upgrade, expansion, and day-to-day operations.
During the past five years, Mr. Brubaker served in various management
posts with the developer of Clarion, the rapid application development language
in which The Fitness Buddy program
was written. He was Vice President of
e-Commerce and Software Development for that company, responsible for defining
and expanding service offerings to incorporate Web and handheld
technologies. Mr. Brubaker was
co-founder, co-architect and implementer of DBT Online data warehouse
architecture and business management, and the author of Learn Novell Network Software in a Day, published by Wordware.
