Good solid belt for beginners. The black padding is sufficient, the chain is think enough. Only drawback, the chain will not go above 45lbs, it will hold much more weight, but the chain is not long enough. I dip 55 lbs and the thing started to fall apart, it will hold up to 45 lbs tho.

I like this belt. First, it is comfortable and doesn't dig into me at any point. Second, it allows me to strap heavy dumbbells on for dips or pull-ups. The problem with conventional dipping/pull-up belts is that they are designed to hook through a plate, and the 35 and 45 lbs. plates are too unwieldy. This chain extends from the middle and has a hook on the end, so you wrap it around the dumbbell and hook it. It's solid! The only thing I don't like is the half-moon connecting loop slides a little but as long as the material around it lasts a long time it's just a minor annoyance - and only with heavier dumbbells.
