I've been using these 2-3 times a week for about 4 years now. They've been awesome until now. The rubber padding on the underside of the hook that provides grip/traction on the bar is worn down to nothing. Needless to say the hook now slides all around on the bar. I've got smaller wrists and the fit has never been an issue. I do feel the need to wear weight lifting gloves with these hooks because the "lip" on the hook digs into your palm when deadlifting really heavy. Even though they're now unusable due to the rubber wearing down, buying a new pair at $14 every 4 years is hardly unreasonable.

I've only used these a few times, but so far so good! I had been unable to progress in my back exercises--especially bent over rows--because my grip fails before my back does. It takes some concentration to relax my grip now that I have the hooks helping me out. I jumped 10 lbs on rows on my first workout with these! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting to get stronger and/or lift for endurance. I would recommend wearing lifting gloves in addition to these hooks as the metal hook does put some pressure on the palm of the hand which could become uncomfortable when lifting heavier weights. The only negative I've discovered so far is that the foam material that coats the inside of the hook doesn't exactly "grip" the bar. If it were made out of rubber, it might have a better hold. Wide-grip bent over rows are nearly impossible ( your grip will just slip back to narrow grip) if you're using a bar with a smooth surface. If you're using an olympic bar with the rough patches, it'll probably work fine, but I haven't tried it yet. Overall it's a good product, and I will use it weekly.
